5 ½ x 7 ½ Booklet Program for the “Famous Artists Country Playhouse” in Fayetteville, NY. The program dates to July of 1952. The play is the summer stock version of “Voice of the Turtle” and stars Veronica Lake and Carl Betz. (Betz is best known for the role of the husband on “The Donna Reed Show”.) This was Lake’s first foray into stage work, after her divorce from film director Andre DeToth (1952).
Signed by both Veronica Lake and Carl Betz on the front cover. Both have signed in vintage blue ink, although with different pens. The program is complete and very fine with expected age toning. Surprisingly for a vintage playbill, no bends or folds. Rare and desirable.
