Circa 1956 - 4 1/2 x 6 Autograph Album Page. Signed in dark blue ink. Clyde McPhatter has signed this "To Bonnie". He has also added "A treasure of Love" to his signature.
"Treasure of Love" was his first number-one hit on the R&B charts as a solo artist. Slight toning to the page edges, otherwise very fine.
Nice elusive example of this rhythm and blues, soul, and rock and roll legend.
We culled this autograph from the collection of a young lady named “Bonnie”, who acquired these autographs at the Bushnell Theater in Hartford, Connecticut in 1955 - 1957.
I've been able to pinpoint the probable date of the show to April 14, 1957. See the image of an original poster from that appearance (Poster not included).
