Warner Brothers Studios - Vintage Oversized Photo - Circa 1940's Signed by 75
Here's my limited knowledge about the history of this remarkable item. I acquired it from a gentleman who found it in a west coast consignment shop.
It is a view of the Warner Brothers lot, taken from the hillside.
I can only assume it must have come from the office of a Warner Brothers insider.
Who else could have had access to all these stars?
The photo measures 14 x 19 ½ with a heavy backing. There are 75 signatures. 7 which I have been unable to identify. Another 5 or 6 the ink has faded too just scratches on the surface of the photo. From my research the signatures all fall into the late 1940's.
I was stuck for awhile on Abbott & Costello on a 1940's Warner Brothers piece. Their Warner Brothers films didn't happen until the 1950's. The answer came from a fellow autograph collector and Abbott & Costello fan....
The pair did the voices for a 1942 Warner Brothers cartoon entitled,
"Babbit and Catstello".
