NORMA SHEARER – 1927 signed 9.5x13 portrait still from Ernst Lubitsch's “The Student Prince in Old Heidelberg”. Norma has signed,
“To Freddy Lane – Best Wishes from Noma Shearer”.
There is an embossed “Ruth Harriet Louise” stamp in the lower white border, beneath Shearer’s signature, as well as a red “Please Credit Photographer - Ruth Harriet Louise” MGM Handstamp on the verso of the photo.
Louise was the first woman photographer active in Hollywood. She ran Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer's portrait studio from 1925 to 1930. The photo is very fine with one small surface crinkle to the left of Norma’s hat. (See close up scan)
