Edward G. Robinson March 2, 1942 – 6 ¾ x 10 Typed Letter Signed on his Monogramed E.G.R. stationary. Content is to the “National Foundation for Infantile Paralysis” (now known as the March of Dimes).


Edward G. Robinson was a key celebrity promotor of the cause, participating in events and encouraging donations to fund research and support victims. Robinson's commitment to public health was also reflected in his professional work, such as his starring role as the pioneering scientist in the 1940 film Dr. Ehrlich's Magic Bullet, which depicted the struggle to develop vaccines against infectious diseases.


This TLS has been signed by Edward G. Robinson in black fountain pen. Pencil “A” filing mark on face. National Foundation for Infantile Paralysis blue “Received” handstamp on verso dated to 1942 Mar. 6. Pencil dealer date and 1988 price notated in upper right corner on verso. Three typical horizontal mailing folds, which disappear when viewed head-on. The TLS in in excellent condition. 


Comes with a modern 8x10 quality glossy print of a 1940’s image.
