8x10 double weight sepia toned photo signed, in black fountain pen, “Good Luck to Barbara from Pat Ellis”. Uncommon in signed photos. Her film career, although usually in lead roles, only lasted from 1932 to 1939, after which she claimed she was in a rut in Hollywood, she ventured into a short-lived career as a singer. She pretty much retired when she married in 1941. Patricia died of cancer in 1970 at the age of 51. Very fine.
