Highly rare “Bank of Italy” signed check, 3 ¼ x 8 ¼, signed and hand dated to No. 22, 1921, during his silent film heyday, by actor Ben Turpin. Signed in violet fountain pen. In good condition, with scattered bank cancelation stamps. Edge tear to top upper left corner. Vertical fold to check barely impinging on the forward tail of the "B" in "Ben".
This rare signed check is accompanied by an auction house letter from the third-party authentication service JSA.
Comes with a 1960’s print of Ben in one of the many silent westerns he appeared in. Very fine with red ink filing number in lower right border.
