Vintage 6x9-inch double-weight glossy Universal Studios portrait, signed and inscribed in blue fountain pen in the late 1930s.
Queen of the 1940’s technicolor adventure films such as “Arabian Nights”, “White Savage” and “Cobra Woman”.
Montez drowned and apparently suffered a heart attack while taking a bath in 1951. She was 39 years old. The photo is very fine with paper remnants on verso from a previous mounting. Very uncommon.
